Originating from Cape Town, South Africa, Miguel has a wealth of experience in the game as a Goalkeeper and coach. After competing in the NCAA Div. 1 with top men’s soccer programs such as Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he was recruited to play for Simon Fraser University here in the lower mainland. Miguel was an integral part of a highly successful era with SFU within his three years in the lone candian NCAA program. While still playing at the top amateur level in BC, Miguel has progressed as an up and coming coach in the soccer community with experience working with players at Mountain United, Port Moody SC, Croatia Jrs, South Burnaby Metro Club, and the Vancouver Whitecaps Mainland Academy Centre locally. With his playing background and vast coaching experience, Miguel brings a vibrant and energetic approach to his sessions at Celtic Elite and we are so pleased to have him involved and working with our players to push them to the next level!
