Jake has experience with the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency Program, as well as with the U-17 Canadian National Team. He made three appearances representing the nation at the CONCACAF U-17 championships in Panama – starting each of the Canadian squad’s games. Ruby also spent a couple seasons with Mountain United FC of the BC Soccer Premier League.
Born and raised in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Ruby became an integral part in the Whitecaps U-16 side in the 2016/17 season, making 26 appearances and helping the team qualify for the playoffs. He started all three games in the playoffs as they made their way to a Final Four finish. He later became Rookie of the year in his first season with Trinity Western University Men’s Soccer and was later drafted to the Halifax Wanderers of the Canadian Premier League 14th overall!
