Originally from Comox Valley on Vancouver Island Mike Girard moved to Vancouver when he was 15 to join Mountain United and train within Whitecaps Academy as well as Whitecaps Residency programs. Going on to represent BC in the U16 Provincial Program, he travelled overseas to train with German Sides VFR Garching as well as working with 1860 Munich U23 side. Transitioning to coaching, Mike is involved with Port Moody FC and is the Assistant Coach for the University of British Columbia Women’s Soccer program which were crowned National Champions in USport in 2019!
